Reimagine Bridge Street Final Design

The Reimagine Bridge Street project goals are to improve pedestrian connectivity
and safety; and long-term traffic operations along the Bridge Street corridor.

New Paint

The final design incorporates a quiet zone at the existing UPRR at-grade-crossing on Bridge Street, which requires the installation of 4-quadrant gates & vehicle presence detection. A new utility bore under 3 UPRR tracks at the at-grade-crossing will facilitate coordination of 2 signalized intersections and the UPRR signal inter-tie. The final design removes the remaining overhead utilities to allow room for the traffic signal poles. The roadway will be rehabilitated from Riverside Drive to the north side of Donner Pass Road, and include new curb, gutter, sidewalk, paver crosswalks and ADA ramps.
